Nintendo Switch Online App

Support from feature prototyping to full-scale development for global deployment

Fenrir, in collaboration with Nintendo, jointly developed the “Nintendo Switch Online” app, a built-in function for the Nintendo Switch console. To accomplish this, Fenrir formed a dedicated development team comprised of members with high expertise in prototype production, user design, design, mockup, data measurement, and main development.

Project Characteristics

• Utilized prototypes to verify UX/UI
• Built for the unique horizontal UI design of the Nintendo Switch, which presented a novel set of challenges compared to PC and smartphone apps.
• Fenrir lead development related to the field of data measurement
• Used AWS as infrastructure to reduce operational load and achieve fault tolerance and high availability
