Joint development of Nintendo Switch Online, a built-in console feature for the Nintendo Switch™ 2 and Nintendo Switch™.

Support from feature prototyping to full-scale development for global deployment
Fenrir, in collaboration with Nintendo, jointly developed the “Nintendo Switch Online” app, a built-in function for the Nintendo Switch console. To accomplish this, Fenrir formed a dedicated development team comprised of members with high expertise in prototype production, user design, design, mockup, data measurement, and main development.
Project Characteristics
- Utilized prototypes to verify UX/UI
- Built for the unique horizontal UI design of the Nintendo Switch, which presented a novel set of challenges compared to PC and smartphone apps.
- Fenrir lead development related to the field of data measurement
- Used AWS as infrastructure to reduce operational load and achieve fault tolerance and high availability
